The Swine Flu Double Standard

I am with you!
I'm not sure what conservative talk radio you've been listening to but I haven't heard this type of reaction. The only response I have heard that you mentioned is IF you truly want to stop contamination from spreading then close the Mexican border. This is primarily due to all of the known cases of swine flu originating from MEXICO! It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

I agree that this whole episode has probably been blown out of proportion. It's my understanding that the flu kills approximately 25,000 people per year in the US. If so, then the swine flu strain is far better controlled than the typical strains seen around the country.

Definetly ironic - I've heard people use it for all kinds of racist justifications too. Truly ironic. I guess it's all about the individual's selfish motives.
Even if it were as you stated, one bears no resemblance to the other for reasons that are obviously beyond your ability to add or detract. And the only irony is that you think they do. I'm disappointed that you have learned nothing since I last visited, and that you seem to have attracted more idiots than before.

You have my sympathies, Dox. Many people who don't understand science will criticize it just to make themselves feel better.
