I think Mitt is done. totally. i dont think he'll win Michigan (his true homes state) either. He spent so much time and effort (an oh-so-much money) trying to convince the evangelicals that he was really one of them.
The evangelicals have spoken, and they have chosen Huck as their standard-bearer. What constituency does Mitt have left?
I think Romney offers a much better choice for conservatives than Huckabee. I'm still hoping for a Thompson surge. He's probably going to run out of money though.
I'm going to throw up then. I live in AZ and have never voted for McCain, he's wrong on most major issues and McCain Finegold is garbage. I just re-registered as a Republican and plan on voting for Paul on Feb. 7th. I could possibly vote for Mitt Romney but my support is luke warm at best.
Everyone I know who has met Sen. McCain do not have very nice things to say about him. The description I hear most often is ‘cold’. I know this might not impact at all on how the man might do his job, but I did find that judgement, from very intelligent people, interesting. I do hope for a better voter turn-out there in the US. Ours is not great down here in New Zealand but then I hear your figures. However, I can’t blame some for not wanting to vote given some elections’ candidates.
