I want to publicly apologize for any heartburn any posts I made regarding criticisms I made of liberal-oriented comments posted on other blog posts. The posts in question have been deleted.

I will keep any comments I make directly within the confines of the original post. But sometimes I feel arguments get muddled in more of personal attacks (and that definitely goes to both sides of the political aisle) than on the merits of differences in philosophy.

As of late, I have become a little testy regarding political wrangling that is occurring in this forum. I admit getting swirled up in the whirlwind and heat of the moment when I read comments that I don't agree with. For that I sincerely apologize.

Apology gratefully accepted, Dox^2. It is true that the things that unite us are greater than those that divide. Perhaps we should all learn by your example, and move forward in a spirit of robust debate without losing respect for each other's opinions.

To lose respect one must first have respect. I don't think it would be honest for either side to say they really respect the other's opinions in such matters. Call me crazy, but I see a lot of "what do you expect from a conservative" coming from your end of the spectrum, Snowy. As if by being opposed to sensible liberal ideas we are somehow adversarial and annoying. Well, fie.
I was kicked out of the Social Justice Group for being too frank about my position on homosexuality. Not much dialogue there, just dismissal. Looking back, I don't suppose it was a great loss but it did mark the time when I decided to use ad hominem attacks as garnish and to be more confrontational.

I had forgotten about Matthue (I mean he is eminently forgettable), so thanks Scio.

But I must say, I wouldn't be nice to a liberal even if they were willing and able to debate rationally - and least not intentionally. Liberals are America's greatest enemy, and even harboring the idea that they could offer something in debate is a grand illusion.

I just wanted to say thanks to my mate Teddy for giving me my new name Australian pot-bellied pig. I simply love it Teddy, however I have decided to shorten it to Aussie pot-bellied pig, I hope you don't mind?

I thought that I would return the favour (sorry this is how this word is supposed to be spelt) and honour (once again correct English spelling, English was around before "American" - I know you guys love to take short cuts and drop a few things here and there) you with a new name as well, and I actually think you will be very happy with your new name, as it acknowledges the true essence of you Teddy. I am not being sarcastic either, I am paying you a tribute. Teddy from now on you shall be known as TeddyKnowsBest, now I don't think anyone including yourself could argue that TeddyKnowsBest is an appropriate name, as it speaks your truth.

Sorry back again I made a stupid liberal slip up there Teddy, it should have read:

I apologise (correct English spelling) for that typo.
